When having osteoporosis, it becomes easy to break a bone. #2 ranked cause of bedridden among aged people in Japan is broken bone. Female after menopause sharply loose bone mass due to the changes in balance of female hormone. Therefore it is recommended to have bone density test.
In the dietary habit, it is better to take daily products with plenty calcium (for those who is in high cholesterol or high neutral fat, low-fat milk or skim milk are adequate), or small fish. Komatsuna has a lot of calcium but it is hard to be absorbed.
Exercise is also important.
Walking or set-up or fold futon bed like household work is effective for maintaining the bone density. And also to maintain bone density, vitamin D is inevitable but for this purpose take as much as sunshine, … not necessarily direct sun light but only receiving a light reflection at window side.
